I've been really lazy to keep everyone updated on my progress... but since I've won recently and people are starting to ask. I'll provide a long overdue update. My bankroll hasn't actually changed from the Sept-Oct update (go read to find out) That is mostly due to the fact that I really only play on the weekends now. But I've continued to follow proper BRM. I came in 6th in a $3.30 rebuy and won about $700. Now, based on that win. I'm able to play $24 dollar games (I'm close to being able to play $26 games, but not quite there yet, so until then, I've decided to play $26 sats.) I've also...

    Hello all.
My new years resolution was to try (and stick with) the "Furg" $0 to $10,000 bankroll challenge. I'm sure everyone knows about this and the rules. The reason why I've decided to try it this year is to show proper bank roll management. Usually, people take any winnings and blow it all in a tourney. The rules will be hard to follow, but has helped me so far. I'm 13 days in so far and to catch everyone up on my progress: I came in first place in the $100 US freeroll on Full Tilt about a week ago. I've been using the $15 that I won there to play in the .05-.10...

my only claim to fame in online poker is going from 0-400+ 3 times from freerolls but never cashing anything out and going too high with my buyin amounts. i often "figure it out" and play very calm and patient and play winning poker for a month or two but always seem to eventually let BS of online poker get to me and become stubborn in my play. but you have to evolve in this game to be successful in the long run i believe so thats what im going to do.

    Alright everyone...

As you can tell, I've been a little negligent in updating my challenge duties.... But I'm back and ready to update!

Well, I left off with an August update so I'll start this story where I left off in August.

In Sept. I played about $115.05 worth of games and I won $163.6, so I profited $48.55 in the Month of Sept. king
    Highlight wins in Sept. includes a $49 win the a $5.50 10k rebuy and a $93 4th place win in a 2.25 game. I didn't do anything special this...

Well, I was floating around the $100-$150 range (See April update) Then I place 1st place in a $1 rebuy for about $250! It's been about 4 months since I've won this much and 6 months in the "Furg Challenge". I'm now playing at $5.5 buy-in levels now and it's great! The only issue i have now is figuring out a way to cover my daily buy ins. I used to play the 1.25 and 2.25 9-man SnG's to cover my buyins, but the 3.5 sng is a short stack tourney on FT, the 4.4 doesn't exist (it's a token tourney) and people rarely play the 5.5 sng and it's not a turbo. Now, I could go...

I have been having some very bad runs so far in July. It seems like every tournament and Sit & Go I play ends with me being sucked out by a weaker hand. This has been the worst run that I've had so far since I started the 10k challenge, but one of the things that I've done to keep myself from going on tilt was create this poker site! As I write this, I'm $79.30 down for the month including cash games. (Down $11.07 in ring games) I've also managed to screen shot a couple of AA loses that can be enjoyed in the "I lost with AA" thread. Because of this sudden loss in my BR,...

July started to be worth month for me so far in this challenge. My peak loss was about $98, but the last 3 days in July were great! I made about $70 by making 3 final tables in two days. (See the wins column). I ended the month still down, but very manageable.

August started out with the "biggest bonus in history" promotion on Full Tilt. Basically, you have a month to get 1667 FTP points and FT will give you a $100 bonus. Judging from my previous FTP points I've been accumulating, I would never make anywhere near that amount. Because of that, I've decided to go back to...

I've been hovering around the $80-100 range for months now. I can't seem to get over the hump. Everyday I play, I want to play the "big" tourneys, but I don't. My strategy for the last month has been to play in 9-man 1.25 SnG's to try to cover my tourney buy-ins. For the most part, that has been working, Before that, my BR was slowing going down hill. I've also been playing in the FT .6 double deuce rebuy tourneys. If I win that, I would unregister the 22 winnings to play more $1 tourneys. I would like to know what strategies other are using in the same situation.
